Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare 
 
The Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare has a wide-ranging program of research units which deal with various aspects of research 
 
 
The Center serves as a source of information for studying aging in the Israeli population. Involving experts form the social sciences, health sciences and gerontology, the Center connects university researchers with other institutions in Israel to expand gerontological research in the country. The Center also conducts surveys for Project Share – a European international survey of people ages 60 and older. The Center was established with support from the Israel Ministry of Science and Technology, and operates with assistance from the Israel Ministry for Senior Citizens.
 
The Center develops and promotes basic and applied research on philanthropy in Israel and in Jewish communities throughout the world. Established in 2006, the Center develops and develops academic curricula and enrichment programs in the field of philanthropy, promotes understanding of the field within society, and enhances philanthropic activity. 
 
Social Policy Research Group  
The Social Policy Research Group was established in 2004 by a group of senior scholars in the field of social policy at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare. Through its activities and publications, the research group seeks to make a significant contribution to public discourse on social policy issues in Israel. The group engages in diverse studies in the field of social policy, analyzes government social policy, and publishes findings of research from Israel and abroad, as well as comparative data on different areas of social policy.  

NCJW Research Institute for Innovation in Education

The Institute carries out research and creates innovative educational programs serving socioeconomically at-risk segments of the Israeli population. Through a wide range of research and applied activities, the Institute aims to address the educational problems, challenges and needs of children and youth, and thereby to promote their educational and social advancement. The main goal is to provide youngsters with opportunities to develop their potential, to attain social mobility and to fully participate in Israeli society. The Institute's accumulation of knowledge and expertise facilitates its professional contribution to public policy-making in the field of education. 

The Urban Clinic at Hebrew University 
works to strengthen creative and socially aware urban leadership in Israel, including mayors, city planners, community leaders, developers  and students.  The Urban Clinic provides state of the art knowledge about what works in housing, urban regeneration and community planning, to ensure that the current and next generation of urban practitioners are equipped with effective tools and skills to make our cities truly remarkable places for all. Founded in 2013, the Urban Clinic is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Hebrew University, and linked to the Institute of Urban and Regional Studies there.
