The Mitzvah (“The Good Deed”) is a one-person play that dramatically explores one of the most shocking stories of the Second World War: tens of thousands of "partial Jews" who served in Hitler's military, most of whom were discharged in 1940, and nearly all were sent to forced labor camps — or worse.

The performance will be followed by a discussion featuring Hebrew University faculty experts on history, theater studies, and antisemitism.

Invitation at http://media.huji.ac.il/new/events/hu170424_sicsa.pdf.

Presented by The Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism, the Avraham Harman Institute of Contemporary Jewry, and the Theatre Studies department, with the support of the Posen Foundation.
